Meetings corresponds with the Society of Flavor Chemists meeting schedule.
Purpose of organization is to provide new and hard to get approved flavor ingredients to
members. Meetings include ingredient supplier presentations.

FLAVOR AND EXTRACT MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION (FEMA)

Founded in 1909, with three goals. To cooperate, promote, and protect the business interests of its members; to foster and promote good will among its members; and to assist in the enactment and enforcement of laws which in their operation shall deal justly with the rights of flavoring extract manufacturers and consumers.

FEMA has been instrumental in protecting the flavor industry by developing methodology to evaluate and approve flavor ingredients, developing vanilla standards, Trade secret protection, and been active in government regulations that affect flavors and flavor ingredients. FEMA is recognized worldwide as a leader in developing methodology to provide safe flavor ingredients.

NATIONAL ASSOC. OF FLAVORS  & FOOD-INGREDIENT SYSTEMS  (NAFFS)

Trade association of manufacturers, processors and suppliers of fruits, flavors, syrups and related food ingredients as well as firms providing services to these industries.

The mission of NAFFS is to provide a forum for exchange of technological and marketing information, to keep its membership aware of legislative and regulatory developments, and to respond to the needs of the membership.

Originated in New York city in 1954. Meet approximately 8 times a year.

Provides technical and marketing information to members through invited guest speakers, and social benefits through its meetings.
